Community centers such as Stone-Hayes Center for Independent Living provide life changing, essential services to those with disabilities and to the public at large. However, these organizations and the services they provide are often misunderstood by the community. Stone-Hayes works to create empathy for the disabled; also, they help pregnant teens, and the elderly with social, emotional and financial needs.
