Business Development Leader – Inside Enterprise Sales
Location: Alpharetta, GA
As our very first Business Development leader, this position will help us define and build the business development practice within Inside Enterprise Sales.  The concentration of this role will be on creating strategic and tactical sales attack plans to acquire new business and revenue streams. This will also include the development and execution of marketing nurture campaigns to drive demand and sales activity overall for the channel.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of outbound lead generation and exceeding sales quota, loves the thrill of the hunt, and is capable of building and growing a pipeline of new business.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, develop and sell new business opportunities with key decision makers of prospective customers
Collaborate with sales leadership and recommend strategic methods to penetrate new markets
Identify, recruit, develop and retain a new team of high-performance professionals
Develop strategy to build and manage a pipeline of potential clients and prospects (requires a high-volume of calls)
Source lists of new potential prospects from internal and external sources, while developing plan to enrich data, contact, and nurture leads via phone, email and marketing efforts
Lead and/ or collaborate to develop the ‘IES Business Development playbook’ to set the BD team up for long term success
Systematically engage prospective opportunities to align our solutions with their needs
Develop and execution of marketing tactics to drive new leads 
Effectively assimilate and develop sales engagement for the broader Inside Sales team into the BD process after proper lead qualification  
**No account management**
Create and plan strategies, objectives, and initiatives for demand generation and marketing automation
Manage marketing automation software and lead the development of integration and closed loop reporting capability through CRM software
Deliver and maintain a comprehensive set of marketing dashboards, reports, and metrics consistent with team, organization, and executive needs
Achieves goals through the work of others (Note that in rare circumstances high level functional leaders may be functioning as individual contributors who coordinate work across function and are accountable for the results of a function within a BU) 
Management responsibilities include performance appraisals, pay reviews, training and development 
Typically managers have hire/fire authority; lower level managers may recommend

Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business or related field required
5-7 years of overall business development experience and sales pipeline management
5 years of management experience in an inside sales environment leading a staff of employees
5-7 years of experience in the financial services or similar role serving the financial services industry
Proven track record of leading/building business development teams to successfully increase revenue through generation of leads
High degree of experience using marketing automation and lead management software
Proven track record of using key performance metrics to manage and develop a Business Development team for enhanced performance and revenue growth
Strong organization skills and the ability to re-prioritize tasks in a fast paced sales organization
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent facilitation and communications skills; verbal, written and presentation
Knowledge with various software applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
CRM software experience such as Saleslogix, Siebel or Sales Force.com
Strong analytic and problem solving skills
Ability to learn and manage diverse product offerings and solution sets
