Employee Assistance Program Counselor - Omaha, NEnJob no: ******nWork type: Full Time RegularnLocation: NebraskanCategories: Customer Service, Human Resources, Administrative/SupportnProvide Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to internal and external individuals and groups. Including assessment, in the moment support, problem solving, resources, plan development, training and EAP education. Supports the department and EAP profession through provider network development, referral for services, case management and follow-up services.nWHAT YOU'LL DO:n*nProvide direct EAP service to employees and eligible family members through internal and external EAP program.n*nnInternal EAP services involve face-to-face assessment, action planning, short-term problem resolution, partnership with community/internal resources, case management and follow-up.n* External EAP services involve telephonic assessment, action planning, short-term problem resolution, explanation of services and EAP education, referral to affiliate providers, resource referral, case management and follow-up.nn*nCollaborate with EAP consultants on guided and mandatory referrals for both internal and external EAP programs. Address job performance issues with employee, affiliate providers and business partners to empower meaningful change in the workplace.n*nContribute to maintaining and expanding provider network. Proficiency at using online directories and resources to locate potential providers and contract for services.n*nContribute to expansion of service delivery through direct care, telehealth care and web-based service points of contact.n*nContribute to EAP awareness within Mutual of Omaha by participating on various committees, employee resource groups or training opportunities.n*nMaintain and protect client confidentiality consistent with acceptable professional standards, ethics and protocol, with special consideration to appropriate release of information and consent with workplace referrals.n*nWilling to embrace EAP service deliver across a variety of multimedia tools to meet the client and enhance quality of services for customers.n*nWilling to accept and collaborate on additional projects to improve EAP service delivery for employees, companies and business partners.nABOUT YOU:n*nClinical Master's Degree in Counseling, Mental Health, Social Work, Chemical Dependency or related field.n*nnClinically Licensed (or clinical license eligible) to practice Mental Health in Nebraska.n* Experience and knowledge in assessment, counseling, chemical dependency, wellness, workshop design/training and consultingnn*nAbility to respect and protect confidential information.n*nStrong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.n*nProficient in using Microsoft office and skilled in using on-line database for record keeping.n*nAbility to work across various departments and platforms to promote and provide EAP services.n*nAbility to work on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week on a rotating basis.n*nTeam skills sound clinical judgement, clarity, flexibility and problem-solving skills.n*nAction oriented and customer focused.n*nStrong ability to maintain composure, negotiate and resolve conflicts.n*nStrong ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.n*nStrong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.n*nCommitment to activate self-development and proactive technical and leadership learningnVALUABLE EXPERIENCE:n*nThree or more years of experience in the EAP field preferred.n*nCertified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) eligible; CEAP preferrednnWHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:n* A diverse workplace where associates feel a sense of belongingn* An organization that feels like a small, close-knit community and has the strength of a Fortune 500 companyn* Tuition reimbursement, training and career developmentn* Competitive salary, incentives, 401(k), flexible work schedules and a healthy amount of time offnnMUTUAL OF OMAHA:nMutual of Omaha serves more than 4.8 million individual product customers and 39,000 employer groups.
