Overview
The Designer works to provide creative and technical support to the sales/project team by participating in the meeting with clients and preparation of
floor plans ranging from conceptual drawings to very accurate, detailed computer generated design and furniture layout specifications for sales presentations and quotations and installation activities of office furniture and related equipment in client facilities.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Meet with company sales representative and clients to gather project requirements, establish project time line, and develop project budget
Develop creative design concepts and space plans that fulfill client requirements and conform to applicable building codes and ADA requirements
Generate furniture plans with intelligent graphics on AutoCAD and/or including 3D's and elevations as required
Generate accurate furniture specifications using 2020 Cap Technologies
Develop color schemes with material and finish selections within schedule and budget requirements
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of contract office furniture lines
Good working knowledge of systems furniture and space planning.
Prepare installation plans as requested
Select architectural finishes and prepare finish plans
Participate in and prepare furniture inventories as needed
All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency with current AutoCAD and CAPSTUDIO/2020 TECHNOLOGIES working knowledge of PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Photoshop
Ability to interpret communicated customer needs and project requirements into competent design solutions
Strong oral, presentation, written, listening, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with people, action-oriented, and not intimidated by deadlines, vendors or customers
Strong organizational and scheduling skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Qualifications
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in design
NCIDQ Certification preferred, but not required
Minimum Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit.
