JOB SUMMARY
:

Leads analysis, design, development, implementation, and production support of the Clemson Ellucian Banner software systems. Develops integrations with other vendors systems used by the university. Performs senior-level programming functions and leads and instructs other developers when required. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES
:

65% - Essential - Software Development: Responsible for the development of senior level programming functions. Develops and implements specialized programs to supplement and enhance systems software. Extensive system level knowledge of capabilities, programming techniques, and intricacies of information systems. Advanced knowledge of computer languages including Groovy, JAVA, PL/SQL, and scripting languages. Extensive system level ability to write and revise computer programs. Extensive system level ability to understand and carry out technical instructions and requests.

20% - Essential - System Solutions & Design: Provides expertise for the design and development of IT systems within a wide range of complexity levels. Design and provide technical solutions for critical Banner Student Systems and vendor integrations. Follows, modifies, and supports development coding standards. Product subject matter expert for the student systems. Uses programming expertise to teach team members. Extensive system level ability to understand and carry out technical instructions and requests. Extensive system level ability to analyze and reduce to logical order complex technical data. Manages software integration, external interface development and technical documentation.

15% - Essential - Communication & Collaboration: Analyzes business user needs to assess technical feasibility and solutions. Translates business requirements into technical specifications and manages assigned development changes. Provide estimates on the amount of analysis and development effort needed based on customer defined business requirements. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work effectively with users, vendors, and other IT personnel. May instruct, direct, and monitor work of other analysts and programming team members.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
:

Education - Bachelor's Degree - Computer science, engineering, or a related area

Work Exp 5 years Ellucian Banner Student Systems development and modification.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
:

Education - Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related area and experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.

Work Exp 5 years Ellucian Banner Student Systems development and modification, Experience with a broad range of higher ed admins. Experience with Groovy, JAVA, PL/SQL, Linux, and scripting languages, Automic UC4.
