This position is perfect for an event manager who has focused on all aspects of accessible events (both in-person, and virtual), from event design, to attendee communications, and the overall event experience.

This role is focused on ensuring attendees at our events feel like they belong and can be fully participatory, due to the technologies, navigational tools, and readily available accommodations that enhance their experience.
The successful candidate will have a passion for #accessibilityforall and an acute understanding of business diversity and inclusion for people with disabilities.
Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure and scale accessibility at our largest events, internal and external

Be a global resource for stakeholders planning events for attendees with disabilities

Collaborate with Real Estate and Workplace Services to develop best practices for events held at Salesforce offices

Update and amplify the Accessible Events Playbook for large and small events for all event planners

Learn from peers and share best practices, to communicate event accessibility wins

Partner with cross-functional teams to pilot new assistive technology to be utilized at events

Create pre-event planning and post event summaries for all stakeholders to learn from and improve accessibility for future events, including tracking and measuring progress.

Determine types of events that require onsite volunteer support and coordinate volunteers for those events;, look to scale the accessible services for all event management teams
Manage multiple, complex timetables successfully in a collaborative extremely fast paced environment

Be flexible, fast-moving, execution-oriented. Track record of getting it done ;

Willingness to roll up sleeves to get the work done or go the extra mile. Strong personal work ethic and problem solver
Experience with a collaboration suite such as Google Apps

Experience in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly evolving workplace;

Ability to collaborate with a global and highly matrixed workforce.
5 years event experience, which included ensuring events were accessible for people with disabilities

Awareness and familiarity around various captioning services and options for live and recorded events

Have a commitment to, understanding of and sensitivity to the multiple facets of accessibility
